Refuse Collection
Currently Waste Management provides trash collection service for all
of the homes in Tamarack. Refuse is collected every week on Thursday. The cost
for this service is included in the monthly assessments. Waste Management
provides a wheeled cart for each Tamarack homeowner. Non-recyclable materials,
either loose or in trash bags, must be placed inside the wheeled cart. Items
placed outside of the cart will not be collected.
Refuse Carts are available in 35, 65 and 96 gallon sizes. Residents may change cart sizes by contacting the Tamarack office at 833-1615. If a homeowner continually has more refuse than what can fit into the cart they will be required to switch to a larger size.
Recycling Collection
City Recycling - Tamarack policy requires residents to bring their
recyclables to the city terrace for collection by the City of Madison. The city
terrace is the area between the curb and sidewalk anywhere along Tree Lane,
Randolph Drive, Millstone Road or Westfield Road. City Recycling Carts are
available in 35, 65 and 96 gallon sizes. Residents may change cart sizes by
contacting the Tamarack office at 833-1615. City recycling occurs every other

Individual Pick Up - For residents who would like collection of recyclables at their unit, the following service is available. Waste Management will pick up recyclables along with normal trash on their regular route. Waste Management will supply a 65-gallon recycling cart (green with a yellow lid) to the unit owners who wish to pay for this service ($50 per year). Recyclables along with the bin would be placed adjacent to your Waste Management Refuse Cart. For detailed instructions please click here.
Two Containers Per Household - Each home should have one wheeled cart (from Waste Management) for trash collection and either a wheeled cart (from the city of Madison) or a smaller 18-gallon bin (from Waste Management) for collection of their recyclables.
